Regulations dealing with Animal Health were adopted by the Department of Environmental Conservation on February 16, 2017, with an effective date of March 24, 2017. The regulations have been made permanent and have been filed by the Lt. Governor. The regulations will appear in Register 221, April 2017, of the Alaska Administrative Code. These regulation changes update the animal disease testing requirements to come into compliance with federal rules relating to animal disease and importation. These changes also set minimum care standards for animals.
